[Airport Luggage Trolley Report] At 5 o'clock in the morning today (May 4), an old residential building on Xingang Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai collapsed due to a gas explosion and people were trapped. After preliminary investigation, it was understood that the accident was caused by the explosion of a liquefied gas cylinder, which caused the collapse of the entire residential building, causing 2 deaths and 4 injuries. After receiving the 119 alarm, the Shanghai Fire Bureau quickly mobilized rescue forces to the scene to rescue. Dozens of fire engines rushed to the scene to rescue. By 6 a.m., five people had been rescued, two of whom died. At present, the search and rescue work is still in progress. The rescued people have been sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. After preliminary understanding, the site is of 2 brick-wood structures.

According to preliminary understanding, the site is 2 residential buildings with brick and wood structure. It has been confirmed that there are 9 people in the building. After the accident, 4 people escaped by themselves. As of 5:55, the fire had searched and rescued 5 trapped people, 4 men and 1 woman. The injured have been sent to hospital for rescue. At present, the fire department has determined that there are no more buried personnel.
